Course fees and invoicing

Adult education center's courses lasting the entire academic year are billed in two installments, the first installment in the fall semester and the second installment in the spring semester. When you register, you agree to pay the course fee for the entire academic year. The course fee does not cover possible material fees.

After the course starts, we will send you a payment link to your email, through which you can pay with online payment, Epass or Smartum. The payment link is valid for 7 days, after which it closes. If you have not used the payment link during its validity period, we will send a paper invoice to your home. After invoicing the course, other means of payment are no longer taken into account.

If the course takes place, we will not refund already paid course fees. Unpaid course fees will be collected like other city bills.

Courses cannot be paid upon registration or before the course begins.

If you are unable to participate in the course, the cancellation must be made in writing no later than seven days before the course's start date, to the address kansalaisopisto@riihimaki.fi. A cancellation made to the teacher is not enough, and teachers do not receive cancellation notifications.

Not paying for the course or not coming to the course is not a cancellation. If the registration has not been canceled in writing by the last cancellation date, the entire course fee will be invoiced.

The free trial will be discontinued from the beginning of the academic year 2023-2024.

Canceling the course after the last cancellation date or refunding the payment due to illness requires a medical certificate.

The student does not have to report individual absences to the office.

  • If you want to gift the course to a friend, contact the office. When registering the recipient of the gift card for the course, enter your own address as the billing address.
