Accessibility statement

This accessibility statement explains how the Riihimäki city website complies with the law on the provision of digital services, what shortcomings there are in the website's accessibility, and how you can give us feedback on accessibility problems. The goal of the city of Riihimäki is that the use of online services is as smooth as possible for all users. Accessibility is taken into account in the development of the city's digital services.

Accessibility refers to the ease of use and comprehensibility of websites, mobile applications and the content published in them. This accessibility statement applies to the Riihimäki city's website www.riihimaki.fi, which was made with the WordPress publishing program. The website's technical implementer is Geniem, from May 2023 Hion.

The website is largely compliant WEB Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 required requirements at A and AA level.

Inaccessible content

The most significant shortcomings are in the accessibility of files (pdf, doc, xls). The purpose of the files is checked and they are updated to be accessible the next time the file is repaired or updated.

The website also publishes videos. Videos longer than 45 minutes are not accessible. Subtitling them is an unreasonable burden.

The website has links to various electronic services, including Tweb (agendas, minutes, decisions of office holders and announcements), EFeedback (feedback service) and kartta.riihimaki.fi.

Preparing the accessibility statement

The website of the city of Riihimäki was published in 2021. This statement was prepared on November 2.11.2021, 2023. The statement was reviewed in May XNUMX.
