Student union

All students and persons who support the activities of the adult education center can join the student union. Members receive discounts on Leporanta's usage fees and the prices of student union trips.

To become a member, send a text message with your name, address, phone number and email address to 050 347 1284.
You can also join by filling out a contact form at the college office or by contacting the board members. The association's board will send you a membership letter and a membership fee invoice of €15, upon payment of which your membership becomes effective.

The Leporanta has a warm sauna on Thursdays from 17-20 pm. Every Thursday until the end of August, Kesijärvi invites you to take a dip at Suviniementie 283, Loppi.

The Venetians, or those who celebrate the end of the cottage season, will be on Finnish Nature Day on Saturday, August 29th.

Leporanta

On summer Thursdays, the sauna is warm from 17-20 p.m., starting June 4.6. The price is 3 e/adult, paid in cash. For more information, call 050 347 1284.

The summer place in Launoiset, in Loppi, was acquired in 1927 with the help of Riihimäki adult education center students and fundraising. The student union has the right to manage the Leporanta property, and according to a separate agreement on municipalization, Riihimäki adult education center and the students have the primary right to use it. Other residents of Riihimäki also have a secondary right to use the area and its services.

The main building has a kitchen and a room with a fireplace, and two bedrooms in the attic. The beach has a sauna and a boat, as well as two barbecue areas. Leporanta's address is Suviniementie 283.

There is a spring water well on the beach, but no water or sewer network. The water has recently been found to be unfit for drinking, so for the time being you must bring your own household water. A solution is being investigated.

The kitchen is equipped with a stove and oven, a refrigerator and a two-liter coffee maker. There are a few pots, a frying pan and dishes in the cupboard. There are cups for about 20 people and cutlery for about 10 people for coffee. There is a brick-oven pan on the barbecue area.

The bedrooms in the attic have beds, mattresses, blankets and pillows, and you can sleep with your own bedding. There are bio-huts on the slope. The sauna has two separate changing rooms and a continuously heated heater. The sauna is supplied with well water from the tap. The benches can accommodate 7–10 people. A fee is charged for sauna use and private reservations, which covers the maintenance costs of Leporanta.

In Leporanta, the board is elected annually at the annual meeting of the student association to maintain the place.
