Inclusion is one of the central themes of the strategy of the city of Riihimäki. Inclusion is implemented in Riihimäki in many different ways. Everyone can find their own unique way to participate and make the city common.

Voting for Participatory Budgeting for 2026 has ended

The aim of participatory budgeting is to jointly devise, decide and implement an even better and more functional place to live in Riihimäki. 100 euros have been allocated annually for participatory budgeting in Riihimäki. Proposals for development targets in the city have been made by private individuals, communities and groups freely gathered around the topic, such as clubs, school classes or hobby circles. Once again, a large number of proposals were received and now 50 proposals were up for voting. Voting was open from 5 to 000 January 31.1.2026 on the website osallistu.riihimaki.fi The results will be published in the first week of February.
