Kaikukortti

The Kaikukortti is a free personal card that you can use to get free admission tickets to, for example, festivals, theaters or concerts. With it, you can also get free course places at the civic college. The goal of the card is to improve the opportunities of young people, adults and families in a financially tight situation to participate in cultural life and enjoy making art.

With the card, in addition to the Kaikukortti offer in your own area, you can also get free admission tickets and course places to the cultural offerings of other areas around Finland. Culture belongs to everyone, regardless of wealth!

  • You can get a Kaikukortin if

    • you are a customer of an operator or organization in the field of social and health care or welfare and health promotion participating in the Kaikukortti operation that distributes the card.
    • you are in a tight financial situation and therefore cannot purchase paid admission tickets or course places. However, you do not need to prove your income to get a card.
    • you are at least 16 years old.

If you belong to Kaikukorti's customer target group, you can get a card in connection with a customer meeting in these services:

  • With the Kaikukortti, you can purchase tickets to all cultural destinations included in the Kaikukortti operation, such as festivals, summer theaters and museums.

In Riihimäki, the Kaikukortti is valid at the following destinations:

In 2024, the Kaikukortin Pop-up destinations are:

Pop up destinations offer free admission tickets to Kaikukortti holders and are located in areas other than those already using or trying out the Kaikukortti.

  • Get a ticket with Kaikukort from the cultural destination's own ticket sales channels. When you get the ticket, be prepared to show your Kaikukortti and tell it its ID. You cannot buy tickets from the online store with Kaikukort. There may be a limited number of Kaikukortti tickets. If you get a ticket through Lippupiste or another commercial ticket office, you have to pay a service fee, even though the admission ticket itself is free of charge. Tickets for most cultural destinations can also be purchased directly from the destinations without a service fee.

If you want to participate in a civic college course, register for the course in the usual way in advance and also inform the letter and/or number sequence of your Kaikukortti to the civic college office. There may be a limited number of Kaikukortti admission tickets and course places.

Take the Kaikukortti with you when you go to a cultural event or course. The staff may ask you to show the Echo card. In addition, the staff may ask you to prove your identity.

  • If you have children or grandchildren under the age of 18, you can also get free tickets for them with the Kaikukort when you go to the same event together. However, children or grandchildren cannot attend university courses with you (note possible regional exceptions).

  • If you are interested in participating together with a small group or alone with a social worker or diaconia worker, you should ask if an employee of the community that distributes the Kaikukortti would go with you to a cultural event.

An employee, volunteer or other representative of the community can use the community's Kaikukortti to obtain a free admission ticket for themselves and their customers under the age of 16 when they organize a small group visit for one or more customers. Customers over the age of 16 must have their Kaikukortti with them for small group visits. A small group is, for example, 2–5 people. You cannot participate in college courses with the Community Echo Card.

  • In Kaikukortti cultural destinations, the customer's possible assistant or interpreter can always enter free of charge. An assistant can be, for example, an assistant to a person with mobility impairments, a guide assisting a visually impaired person, or an instructor assisting a person with an intellectual disability.

An interpreter can be, for example, a sign language interpreter, a written interpreter or a speech interpreter. The holder of the echo card must get their own seat ticket for their assistant or interpreter.
