Registration and course offerings

Welcome to the courses of the adult education center!

The summer courses for the 100th anniversary of the Civic College have been published on March 9, 2026. You can explore the course offerings online store.
Registration for summer courses opens on Tuesday, March 10, 2026 at 12 noon.

You can register online store, by phone (tel. 040 330 4657) and at the community college office during its opening hours Mon-Thu 12-16 pm.

In the study guide for the academic year 2025–2026, you will find, in addition to the offerings of the community college and art school, courses at the Riihimäki Sports Center and information about Riihimäki's open welfare services. You can view the pdf version of the study program FROM HERE.

If, despite the distribution, you did not receive the study guide or you need another copy, you can pick it up at the following locations:

Registration

Register on time. The course will be canceled if the number of registrants is below the minimum one week before the start of the course.

If the course is full, you should register for a reserve seat. Students from substitutes will be included in the course if places become available. We will notify the student of the vacant place by e-mail or text message.

When you register, you will receive real-time information on whether you have made it to the course or whether you have a reserve seat.

In the study program, an hour means a 45-minute lesson.

The course place is personal, it cannot be transferred to another person.

Cancellation of registration

Registration is binding. Cancellation must be made no later than 7 days before the start of the course in writing to the e-mail address kansalaisopisto@riihimaki.fi.

Teachers do not receive cancellation notices.

If registration is not canceled in writing, the entire course fee will be charged.

We do not have free trials.

The student does not have to report individual absences to the office.

Notification of course changes

The student must ensure that the phone number and email address are up-to-date in our system.

If the course does not take place due to a small number of registrations, we will notify the students by text message or email.

One class session in group instruction can be cancelled during the semester without a replacement session being arranged. Cancelled classes in individual instruction are always replaced. This does not apply to short courses. If a class session is cancelled due to the teacher's absence, we will notify students by text message.
