Registration and course offerings

Registration for courses in the academic year 2026-2027

The courses were published in the online store on May 27, 2026. Registration for the courses opened on June 11th at 12 noon. Registration is primarily done online. Registrations are also accepted by phone at 040 330 4657 and at the community college office. The office is open Monday to Thursday from 12:00 to 16:00. The Civic Institute office will be on summer break from June 17 to August 9, 2026.

You can register for courses throughout the academic year and the course online store is open 24/7. The college reserves the right to make changes to the program. In the online store you can see up-to-date information about the courses and any changes made to them. List of errors and corrections in the printed curriculum.

You can register online store, by phone (tel. 040 330 4657) and at the community college office during its opening hours Mon-Thu 12-16 pm.

In the study guide for the academic year 2026–2027, you will find, in addition to the offerings of the community college and art school, courses at the Riihimäki Sports Center and information about Riihimäki's open welfare services. You can view the pdf version of the study program FROM HERE.

Registration

Register on time. The course will be canceled if the number of registrants is below the minimum one week before the start of the course.

If the course is full, you should register for a reserve seat. Students from substitutes will be included in the course if places become available. We will notify the student of the vacant place by e-mail or text message.

When you register, you will receive real-time information on whether you have made it to the course or whether you have a reserve seat.

In the study program, an hour means a 45-minute lesson.

The course place is personal, it cannot be transferred to another person.

Cancellation of registration

Registration is binding. Cancellations for courses at the Civic Institute must be made 7 days before the start of the course. in writing to the office (cancellation notification cannot be made to the teacher). If the registration is not cancelled in writing, the full course fee will be invoiced.

    Please remember that there are no free trial sessions at the community college!

Notification of course changes

The college reserves the right to make changes to the program. Students must ensure that their phone number and email address are up-to-date in our system. If the course does not take place due to a low number of registrants, we will notify students by text message or email.

One class session in group instruction can be cancelled during the semester without a replacement session being arranged. Cancelled classes in individual instruction are always replaced. This does not apply to short courses. If a class session is cancelled due to the teacher's absence, we will notify students by text message.

Good to know

  • The courses are mainly intended for those aged 16 and over.
  • The duration of the course is stated in lessons (1 lesson = 45 min).
  • Course materials are not included in the course fee unless specifically stated.
  • Please be considerate of others and do not wear strong perfumes during class.
  • If a course or individual course session is canceled, we will notify students via text message.
  • The civic college has the right to suspend a course in the middle of the academic year, for example in a situation where the number of students falls below the minimum number for the course.
  • One course session in group instruction can be cancelled during the semester without a replacement session being arranged. Cancellations in individual instruction

  • We will remind registered participants about the start of the course 6 days before the course starts.
