Registration and course offerings

Welcome to the courses of the adult education center!

The course offerings for the academic year 2023–2024 of Citizens College have been published, you can familiarize yourself with the course offerings and register  online.

The printed study program will be distributed to households in Riihimäki at the beginning of June. You can also pick up the program from the college's office or Tietotupa (at Eteläinen Asemakatu 2).

Registrations are also accepted by phone (tel. 040 330 4657) and at the adult education center office during its opening hours, Monday-Thursday, 12-16pm.

Registration

Register on time. The course will be canceled if the number of registrants is below the minimum one week before the start of the course.

If the course is full, you should register for a reserve seat. Students from substitutes will be included in the course if places become available. We will notify the student of the vacant place by e-mail or text message.

When you register, you will receive real-time information on whether you have made it to the course or whether you have a reserve seat.

In the study program, an hour means a 45-minute lesson.

The course place is personal, it cannot be transferred to another person.

Cancellation of registration

Registration is binding. Cancellation must be made no later than 7 days before the start of the course in writing to the e-mail address kansalaisopisto@riihimaki.fi.

Teachers do not receive cancellation notices.

If registration is not canceled in writing, the entire course fee will be charged.

The free trial will be discontinued from the beginning of the academic year 2023-2024.

The student does not have to report individual absences to the office.

Notification of course changes

The student must ensure that the phone number and email address are up-to-date in our system.

If the course does not take place due to a small number of registrations, we will notify the students by text message or email.

The course for the entire academic year can be canceled once during the semester without arranging a replacement session. This does not apply to short courses. We will notify the students by text message if the lesson is canceled due to the teacher's obstruction.

We do not send a separate announcement about the start of the course. The college will contact you in the event that the course is canceled or you have received a student place from a substitute.
