Riihimäki operates a youth theater and a professional theater as well as two cinemas. Kino Sampo is one of Finland's oldest cinemas still in use.

    Riihimäki's new and wonderful summer theater can be enjoyed in June. A new covered 451-seat auditorium and technical space, a cafeteria building and public toilets, as well as dressing rooms, toilets and maintenance facilities for staff have been built in the area of ​​Kesäteatteri.   • Riihimäki Youth Theatre, Suokatu 9, is an amateur theater that was founded in 1991 and provides basic theater education. The Youth Theater has approximately 450 active members and is Finland's largest amateur theater for children and young people.
