There is an open stage organized by the Riihimäki Society in the library yard, where everyone who wants to can perform.

Kiertokapula also organizes a playful sorting competition in the library yard at 15.30:XNUMX p.m., where MP Aino-Kaisa Pekonen and city manager Jouni Eho will compete. In the sorting challenge, the representatives of Kiertokapula's owner municipalities have been challenged to show their sorting skills against other municipalities. The contestant with a better result in the race gets to represent Riihimäki in the final result table.

On Riihimäki Day, there is also free entry to the Finnish Glass Museum, as well as the art and hunting museums between 10 a.m. and 16 p.m.

Riihimäki's local transport buses and rental of city bikes for less than an hour are free all day.

Riihimäki Day is celebrated as Riihimäki's birthday. Riihimäki became Finland's first crossing station with the completion of the Riihimäki-Pietari line in 1870. It influenced the growth of the station village and its further development into an independent municipality and eventually a city.
