Riihimäki's Christmas event

Christmas in Riihimäki starts on Saturday, November 25, when the wonderful atmosphere of Christmas fills the town. During the day, there are numerous opportunities to enjoy the Christmas atmosphere.

During the same day, a traditional German Christmas market and a local market that received funding in participatory budgeting will be held at Granit Square and the Majaka shopping center from 10 a.m. to 15 p.m.

The long-awaited traditional Christmas procession is organized by Play team -80. The Christmas procession leaves Riihimäki's old market at 11.30:12. and goes from there along Hämeenkatu to the yard of Riihimäki library for the Christmas event for the whole family starting at 24.11 o'clock. We hope for a large number of participants in the procession, and you can still register until November XNUMX. until.

You can enjoy the atmospheric Christmas event in Riihimäki's library yard for the whole family between 12 and 15 p.m., when there will be e.g. Santa Claus with his elves, pony cart rides and a Christmas card craft station.

There is also Santa's post office in the library yard, where you can stamp a Christmas card. For the first hundred, there is also a stamp for sending the card. In the yard you can enjoy Christmas porridge offered by Oma Säästöpankki Oyj and Rengo Säästöpankki Foundation. A thousand servings of porridge are available.

From 13:14 to XNUMX:XNUMX, there will also be an Openmic in the yard, in which everyone who wants to can participate by presenting Christmas performances and greetings. Inside the library, the Santa Claus reads stories, and you can exchange Christmas decorations you no longer need at the Christmas decoration recycling point.

This year's Christmas party at Granit Square and in the library yard is produced in cooperation with the Finnish-German Association of Riihimäki, the cultural and event services of the city of Riihimäki and Riihimäki Fairs / Riihimäki Tilat ja Kehitys Oy.
