Resident satisfaction of Riihimäk residents has increased – everyday life is perceived as smooth and the city as safe

The city of Riihimäki asked its residents from 1.-20. October's experiences of the city's comfort, safety, services and the smoothness of everyday life.

The survey received double the number of responses compared to the previous survey. Almost 1 people responded to this survey. The survey is carried out every two years.

Based on the results, the comfort level of the residents as a whole has increased, everyday life in Riihimäki is perceived as smooth and the city as safe.

The overall rating of residents' satisfaction rose from 2,95 two years ago to 3,33 (scale 1–5).

The statement that received the best marks in the survey was that daily life is smooth in Riihimäki.

The claim that the job opportunities from Riihimäki are good received the second best marks. The claim has received very positive evaluations throughout the survey's history.

The claim "it's safe on Riihimäki" got the third best marks. According to the results, the safety experience of city dwellers is higher than ever before in the survey results. The survey has been conducted since 2015.

We are satisfied with the sports and cultural services

City dwellers' experiences of the coverage of sports services and the vibrancy of cultural services are higher than ever before (a question asked since 2017).

According to the respondents, the importance of sports services and cultural services has also increased over the years.

The station area is not attractive

The claim that Riihimäki's station area and city center attract people to have a good time received the lowest marks in the survey. Considering the measurement history, however, the claim received the best marks (a question asked since 2017).

Riihimäki's image was also not perceived as strong. However, the experience of the image had become as good as in the previous best year, in 2015. The positive development of the image is noticeable from the survey two years ago, an increase of 38 percent.

The irresistible city of Vart is more than just an entry in the strategy

The results of the survey support the fact that the strategic goal of the city of Riihimäki to be an irresistible city of a quarter, where everyday life is functional and safe and the services are of high quality, has a cover. The target state has been improved compared to the results of the previous survey.
