Riuta's family front renovation begins

Riuta's family slope will be renovated to be safe for winter use. The work starts today, Monday 17 July and will last until 26 July 2023.

One of the subjects of Riihimäki's 2022 participatory budgeting is the modification of the family front of the Riuta Family Sports Center for safe winter use. Read the original proposal here.

In connection with the renovation, the slope is reshaped and an earthen rampart is piled on the dangerous edge of the slope. The lighting on the slope will also be renewed by changing the old lamps to energy-efficient LED lamps. The implementation of the lighting is currently being tendered.

The work is carried out as the city's own contract.

Riutta's family fitness center is located at Kormuntie 258.

Ten proposals for participatory budgeting will be implemented this year

A total of 70 proposals were received from citizens for participatory budgeting in 2022. The city implements the proposals ten with the most votes during this year.

In participatory budgeting, the people of Riihimäki decide and influence how the public funds available to the city are used. Inclusion is one of the themes of the strategy of the city of Riihimäki. Riihimäki has 100 euros annually for participatory budgeting.
