DAWN OF SCHOOLS WITH EDUCATION 4.0 : PROJECT IN SHORT

Industry 4.0 is a revolution in which all the devices produced to this day meet with cyber systems. In this context, it is much more important than the other three revolutions. Every aspect of our life will feel its effects. The impact of the revolution on education is a matter to be emphasized. Industry 4.0 is based on Robots 3D Printers Drones Virtual reality These Technologies are the ”honey hive” for students and teachers.

Industry 4.0 and Robotics helps address the growing demand for teaching science, technology, engineering and maths in schools. As well as exemplifying technology directly by programming the robot, students also learn about science, engineering, and maths and get an understanding of how these subjects link together.

One of the EU Member States’ progress targets is reducing underachievement in reading, maths, and science below 15%. This project will be a positive starting point for us to have a role under the target. There’s no doubt that there will be a need for people who involved in programming devices in the future. By programming robots, students can discover if they have aptitude and interest in a job market of the future. Therefore, the EU sees Coding as important as learning to read and write.

The EU commission supports coding and Robotic education to increase Europe’s digital competence and global competitiveness in its article ’Coding-the 21st Century Skills’.We want to share all of our the achievements that we had at the national and international fields. This project will provide us a channel to carry our robotic knowledge, experiences, good practices to each other. The mission of the project is to contribute the development of STEM (Science, Technology, engineering, maths).

We are 6 partners from Turkey, Finland, Portugal, Sweden, Slovenia, Latvia who are all experienced about the STEM. We all aim to

– Inform schools about Industry 4.0 in the direction of ”Inclusive Growth” in the EU 2020 strategy, to fight against poverty and to modernize the labor market.

– Inform pupils about new business lines through EU 2020 Strategy

– Improve the overall delivery of STEM in all partner schools through effective teacher training

– Foster the use of more effective and innovative teaching methodologies

– Heighten motivation among students and staff – Provide students with real-world and 21st Century Skills

We need and framework to share our knowledge and skills and create a common impact on Industry 4.0 Technologies through EDUCATION 4.0. As a team, we are willing to increase interest and motivation in the STEM and Robotic subjects will encourage our students to become future STEM graduates. Erasmus+ program will provide us the international frame that we need. This project will be the dawn for schools to get brightened.

We want to develop a model in our institutions and contribute to the sustainable growth of our countries by changing innovative practices as like: Coding Robotics 3D printing Virtual reality… Therefore, the aims of the project:

-to help students to express themselves with real-life skills

-to help students have positive attitudes to school by providing them techno-entrepreneurship opportunities

-to increase the academic achievements of the students in STEM via Robotics

-to support students to plan for their own future creatively -to create awareness about the necessity and importance of Robotics and Coding

-to exchange the good practices/experiences developed for a better education -to improve ICT competencies and the usage of Industry 4.0 technologies

-to strengthen to teachers professional profiles

-to learn cooperation with different cultures -to help students be aware of EDUCATION 4.0

-to strengthening the profile(s) of the teaching profession: Teachers are encouraged to use STEM education and teachers’ professional development by using the 4th industrial revolution, robotics, 3D printer, VR, drone materials, which provide the most important teaching methods and materials for their innovation.

-to open and innovative practices in a digital era: One of the four main objectives of Education and Training 2020 in the EU Council Final Declaration is ”to encourage creativity and innovation, including entrepreneurship at every stage of education and training”. Education is the provider of entrepreneurship and innovation goals in 2020; new technologies. 3D printers, robotics, coding, drone, virtual reality applications, recognized as the Renosans of Education, are the most innovative examples of the 21st century.
