General rules for social media contests

Eligibility to participate

All natural persons living in Finland can participate in the raffles on the city of Riihimäki's social media (Facebook, Instagram, X and LinkedIn), excluding the staff of the city of Riihimäki and their family members, as well as employees of the companies and organizations that have been involved with the raffles.

Each person may only participate with their own name and contact information. We may check your eligibility to participate in the draw. If the eligibility for participation is not met, it may lead to the loss of the prize. Participation does not require purchasing a product or subscribing to a newsletter.

The participant in the competition must follow the channel-specific community rules of social media. Participation that violates the community rules will not be accepted.

The social media channel where the contest is held is not involved in organizing the contest.

Participation time

The participation time is defined in the competition channel separately for each competition. The city of Riihimäki is not responsible for participants who do not arrive due to technical reasons.

The winner of the raffle

The winner will be chosen by lottery. We will contact the winner through the comment field of the social media platform and ask him to send his contact information in a private message. If the winner cannot be contacted within three (3) days of being contacted, we will draw a new winner. The winner or winners can pick up their prize at the city's Information Center (Eteläinen Asemakatu 2) during its opening hours or at a place to be agreed separately within one month of contact. In some contests, it is mentioned separately that the prizes will be mailed directly to the winners' homes.

Prize

The prize is personal and cannot be transferred to another person. The prize cannot be exchanged for money, and its content cannot be changed. The winner has the right to refuse to accept the prize.

Privacy Policy

The contact information of the participants in the raffles is not collected, and the winner's information is only disclosed to the representative of the city of Riihimäki and to any other party with whom the competition has been organized in cooperation.

Terms of Service

The Official Rules apply to all participants. By participating in the raffle, participants agree to follow these raffle rules. The city of Riihimäki can suspend, cancel or change the content or nature of the draw, as far as it is considered reasonable. We reserve the right to make changes to the rules and the right to cancel participation in the raffle that is deemed to violate these terms or if the definition of eligibility for participation is not met. Any ambiguities related to the application and interpretation of the campaign rules will be resolved by the campaign organizer.
