City Council

The city council has the highest authority to decide on matters common to the city's residents. Administrative director Petri Hirvonen acts as the bookkeeper.

The city council meets at Uramo school, Uramontie 63. The meetings start at 18 pm and are open to the public. Meetings are announced on the city's website. The reviewed minutes will be made available on the city's website on the second business day of the week following the meeting.

  • The term of office of the council is four years long and it starts at the beginning of June of the election year. The current council term began on August 1.8.2021, 31.5.2025 and will end on May XNUMX, XNUMX.

    • on electing members to institutions;
    • on the basis of the financial benefits of trustees;
    • on the selection of auditors;
    • on the approval of the financial statements and discharge from liability;
    • on other matters regulated and assigned to be decided by the council.
