City Board
The City Board takes care of the management and development of the city in accordance with the goals, plans and decisions approved by the City Council. The City Board's powers and general duties are regulated in the Municipal Act. The other duties of the City Board are defined in the administrative regulations.
The City Board has eleven members elected by the council for their term of office and the same number of personal alternate members. The council appoints a chairman and vice-chairman from among the elected members. The members of the City Board are authorized.
The City Board meets, as a rule, on weekday Mondays, approximately twice a month. The minutes of the City Board meetings are usually published on the city's website on the Thursday following the meeting.
Those entitled to attend: council chairman, 1st vice-chairman of the council, 2nd vice-chairman of the council and 3rd vice-chairman of the council
Niina Hiltunen, head of decision-making support, is the minutes-keeper of the City Board.
Mayor Jouni Eho acts as presenter.
