City organization

The management of the city is based on the municipal strategy, financial plan, budget and other decisions of the council. The city has four sectors: the administration and group sector, the energy sector, the technical sector and the education and welfare sector. In addition, the city has a water supply company.

City management team

The management team, consisting of the city's office-holder management and a staff representative, meets every Tuesday. The management team deals with, among other things, strategic issues and issues related to the city's operations and services. These include, for example, the implementation of the strategy, advocacy and the central guidelines and development of operational activities.

The city's management team includes Mayor Jouni Eho, Administrative Director Petri Hirvonen, Cultural Director Jari Lausvaara, Vitality Director Anna-Riitta Kujala, Technical Director Maria Vasko, Financial Director Pekka Karvonen, Human Resources Manager Taina Köninki, Communications and Marketing Manager Mia Miettinen and Chief Steward Maarit Lindholm-Teräväinen.
