Job coaching services

As a customer of employment services, you can utilize the experience, expertise and networks of a job coach. Job coaching enables individual and plan-based coaching, the goal of which is to achieve a longer-term employment relationship or start vocational training. The city of Riihimäki offers job coach services free of charge to unemployed job seekers from Riihimäki.

We offer job coaching services in Finnish, English, Russian and Ukrainian. However, everyone participating in the coaching must have at least a basic level of Finnish, as Finnish language skills are required in the workplace.

A job coach connects the work and the creator

The coach has knowledge of employment-related systems, support opportunities and networks. The job coach works with both the job seeker and the employer, enabling and clarifying options, with both parties being responsible for their choices and decisions. The job coach acts as an expert, enabler and presenter of options in the employment process. The ultimate goal of the coaching is always work or vocational training.

The job coaching process starts with a personal situation by mapping out skills, experiences and motivation, among other things. During the coaching, there is an opportunity to develop both as a job seeker and an employee, identify your own strengths and find suitable jobs.

Coaching can be supported by, for example, a work trial period or a coaching employment relationship, during which it is possible to familiarize yourself with the job, acquire information or increase your skills. The goal is to find the coach a job in the open labor market.
