The city of Riihimäki offers almost a hundred jobs every year to unemployed Riihimäki residents entitled to wage support. The employed persons are placed in a variety of different tasks in the city, and all of them have the opportunity to promote further employment together with a job coach. Education or special skills are not necessarily required for the tasks, in most tasks the desire to learn new things is enough to start the job. The job description can be customized according to the author's ability to work, skills and further employment. We strive to support the employed individually in continuing employment, returning to work and staying at work.

Wage-subsidized work in the city is, as a rule, part-time and fixed-term work, for which the person is paid a salary according to the collective agreement applicable to the employment relationship.

Some of the applicants will be invited to an interview. The final personnel selection is made in the work unit by the supervisor.

Employment services answer all questions related to open jobs and receive applications. Some of those who register as applicants are interviewed and presented to the recruiting body - the supervisor of the city's work unit or the person in charge of the cooperation company. The recruiting body makes the decision on the final selection of personnel. Wage support is applied for the selected person, an employment contract is drawn up and other issues of the employment relationship are agreed upon.

Our client is looking for a lively and competent employee for the operation of the café-restaurant in Oitti.

As an employee of Kahvila-Ravintola, you work as part of the rest of the customer service team. Your duties include e.g. assisting cooking in the kitchen, customer service and sales work in the cafeteria. The work also includes displaying and serving the products. You have a valid hygiene/dispensing passport. You do well in interaction situations and are at your best in customer service situations.

You are a self-starter, brisk and you also have flexibility if the work shift requires stretching. Meeting people and working with customers is natural to you, and any industry experience/training in the cafe-restaurant industry is definitely considered an advantage.

We are looking for a person eligible for salary support for the position, the duration of the position is determined by the duration of the granted salary support but also the summer work period.
The task requires at least a basic understanding of the Finnish language and developing Finnish language skills.

The preparation of this recruitment is handled by the Employment Services of the city of Riihimäki.

The job is located in Oiti.

Duration of work: temporary, approx. 5 months depending on the length of the season

Our client is looking for a furniture fitter to install special furniture!

The work of a furniture fitter focuses on furniture installation, especially the installation of special furniture manufactured in the company.

The most common pieces of furniture to be installed are furniture for hotel rooms and fast food restaurants, various bar and reception counters. The tasks are located at customer locations and the operator must be willing to travel and have the ability to stay at the destination when necessary. A B driving license for a car is enough, but a C license would be an advantage in performing the work.

In terms of education, the best starting point for work is education in the construction industry or e.g. carpentry lessons. Knowledge of furniture installation and work experience is mandatory. Knowledge of customer encounters at workplaces, service orientation and getting along with people is an advantage at work. Naturally, the job also requires driving skills, care and flexibility.
