Support forms for employment

  • The application period for summer job support is 1.3 March to 31.8.2024 August XNUMX

The application forms will be updated on this page during February.

In the summer of 2024, the city of Riihimäki offers support for the summer employment of 35 young people from Riihimäki. Summer job support can be paid to companies or associations from Riihämäkela for the employment of young people from Riihämäkela born between 2005 and 2009 between May 1.5 and August 31.8.2024, XNUMX. It is also possible for the entrepreneurs of Hausjärvi, Lope and Hämeenlinna to receive summer job support for the summer employment of a young person from Riihimäke.

  • The city of Riihimäki can grant a discretionary employment supplement to support the employment of an unemployed job seeker from Riihimäki. The employment allowance is granted in the order in which applications are received, within the budget allocations, in accordance with the conditions mentioned below.

  • In the city's employment services, hundreds of experts from Riihimäki representing different fields are met every year.

With the cooperation of the employer and the coach, we aim for competent people who are motivated to serve. In employment services, the employer can be supported in, among other things, finding a person who meets the required application profile, using different forms of support, getting familiar with the job or anticipating potential challenges.

Our job coach adds value to the selection process by applying for candidates, assessing candidates' suitability and preparing interview situations. The result of the preparation is reviewed together with the employer, and based on the gathered information, the employer selects the most potential people for the interview. The job coach works in the employment training process with both the job seeker and the employer, enabling and clarifying options, while both parties are responsible for their own choices and decisions.

The job coach has the opportunity to support the employer also in other matters of the employment relationship, for example in drawing up an employment contract, training planning and using different forms of support. The job coach has the opportunity to respond flexibly to the changing needs of working life, for example by participating in customer acquisition and coordination of targeted recruitment trainings.

  • Employment services help employers by organizing work trial relationships with job seekers and the TE office. The work trial of TE services is often a justified opportunity to start a successful journey together in working life. A work trial is not an employment relationship. No salary is paid during that time, and no annual vacation days or pension are accrued. The work trial organizer takes care of the guidance and supervision of the work trial participant throughout the work trial. The person participating in the work trial is not covered by the employer's occupational health care or insurance.

In a work trial, a person can find out their career choice and career options or their possibilities to return to the labor market or apply for a new field. In addition to labor market support, Kela pays nine euros in compensation for the work trial day.

Through regular jobseeker meetings, the job coach of Employment Services has knowledge of people from Riihmäki who are without a permanent job and who want to try out a job in the field of their choice. Through experience and network skills, a job coach has the opportunity to facilitate and speed up the creation of work trial contracts and the finding of the right people.

Read more about the work trial On the Tyremarkkinatori website.

  • The wage subsidy granted by TE services is an opportunity for the employer to get financial support for the initial phase of the unemployed employment relationship. Salary support is a financial support granted individually for a person's salary, which the employment service offers its experience and expertise in ensuring, applying for and making accounts of the support, making the process clear and smooth for the employer.

Salary support is always a discretionary support that the TE office can grant within the limits of the available funds. Although the wage subsidy is granted and paid to the employer, the grant is always based on the jobseeker's situation. The goal of subsidized work is to improve the professional skills of the person hired with the support and to promote further employment. The TE office can grant the employer a wage subsidy of 30–50 percent for the wage costs of an unemployed job seeker and for a period of 6–12 months.
