On Wednesday, December 3rd at 17 pm, a public guided tour of the FLOWERPOWER – World of Flowers exhibition will be organized at Riemu Museums. The guide will be the exhibition designer and exhibition amanuensis Katja Vuorinen-Parm. The guided tour is included in the museum admission fee.

The exhibition presents an experiential kingdom of flowers

The FLOWERPOWER exhibition at Riihimäki Art Museum focuses on the colors, scents, beauty and joy of flowers – “flower power”. The exhibition brings an experiential kingdom of flowers to the museum. In addition to paintings, the flower theme is reflected in textiles, objects and other materials. The exhibition has been compiled from Riihimäki Art Museum’s own collections and loans from partners.

The exhibition features works from the art museum's collections by Helene Schjerfbeck, Ellen Thesleff, Ester Helenius and Inari Krohn, as well as recently donated paintings by Mikko and Kerstin Carlstedt and other rarely seen works. In addition, the exhibition features glass vases on loan from the Finnish Glass Museum, as well as porcelain and plants from the Riihimäki City Museum. The exhibition, which fills almost the entire museum, is on display on two floors.
