On Friday, August 16, please avoid leaving your bike in the station's bike shelters

On Friday, August 16, 2024, the city will clean the bike sheds and racks on both sides of the railway station tunnel. Similarly, the racks in front of the old post office in the station area and the Matkakeskus will be cleaned.

Calls have been sent to the sheds to move the bikes and get the racks empty by Friday. Please avoid leaving your bike on these racks on Friday.

The city's street services wash canopies and remove scrap bikes from racks 1-2 times a year. Normal maintenance cleaning is done once a week.

At the same time, scrap and bikes that have been standing for a long time are clearly removed from the racks. They will be transported to the city depot at VO Mäkisenkatu 2, where they will be stored for another four weeks. After that, the bikes are put into recycling.
