Antoni's house, a cultural and community space, will open at Öllerinkatu 3 in autumn 2024. During March, a name competition was organized, where you could propose a new name for the building, which in the future will have spaces for Riihimäki's cultural and event services as well as organizations. There were 81 responses to the name contest, and many of them suggested several different names. The Riihimäki City Museum was last located in the house.

"In the name competition, there were several name suggestions referring to Anton Öller, of which Anton's house was selected as the best, which is based on history and is sympathetic. In the new name of the 1800th-century house, we want to highlight the history of Rautatiepuisto," says Lyti Aaltonen, responsible culture producer.

"In the future, Antoni's house will also be a meeting place for various communities such as associations and organizations. This is how we support the sense of community of the people of Riihimäkä," states welfare coordinator Marjo-Kaisa Konttinen.

Activities in the house will start after the renovation. The cultural and event services office of the city of Riihimäki will be able to move into the building during the summer, and the spaces that will open in the fall will be used by communities and organizations operating in Riihimäki.
