Employers can now apply for summer employment support

Do you have summer jobs for young people? Do a good deed this summer and hire a young person who wants a summer job! The City of Riihimäki offers employers summer job support to employ young people from Riihimäki.

A company or association can receive support for hiring young people from Riihimäki born between 2006 and 2010 for a period of 2–4 weeks. You can get support for employing young people

• 400 euros if the summer job lasts four weeks,
• 300 euros if the summer job lasts three weeks,
• 200 euros if the summer job lasts two weeks.

The city supports the hiring of a maximum of five young people in one company or association.

The application for summer job support has started on March 1st and will end on August 31st, 2025. The City of Riihimäki will grant summer job support to employers within the allocated budget in the order in which applications are received. The city may also grant support retroactively.
