Riihimäki organizes fairs aimed at the elderly during the national Senior Citizens' Week. The senior fair will be held on Wednesday, October 9, from 12 to 15 p.m. at the accessible Riihimäki Travel Center. The theme of this year's fair is Good everyday life - good mind.

Associations, organizations and private service providers and companies are invited as exhibitors. The city of Riihimäki and the wellness area Oma Häme are also participating in the fair. As in previous years, the fair committee is responsible for organizing the fair.

"At the fair, information is available on various services and activities that support well-being. We want to inspire the elderly to take care of their own well-being and health and encourage them to take up new hobbies. Relatives, industry employees and students are also welcome to the fair," says Laura Järvelä, executive director of the Kotokartano Foundation.

"Every year, the fair has reached a good audience. Last year, there were approximately 600 visitors and 67 exhibitors. This year, we welcome both those who have participated before and those who have participated for the first time", encourages activity director Reija Lumivuokko from the town of Riihimäki.

Secure your place as an exhibitor and sign up by email laura.jarvela@kotokartanosaatio.fi no later than September 15, 2024. Space will be filled in order of registration. Exhibitor space is free of charge for associations and organizations. For companies, the place costs 80 euros.

The fair is organized in the Matkakeskus (Eteläinen Asemakatu 2) located next to the Riihimäki train station along good transport connections.
