Elevated bacterial concentrations were no longer detected in the water at Kuivajärvi beach in Saari Public Park in Tammela

On July 20, a repeat sample taken from the Kuivajärvi beach did not detect any E.coli bacteria exceeding the action limit, and based on the sample taken, there is no longer any reason to avoid swimming.

The E.coli concentration in the repeat sample was 10 mpn/100ml and there were 3 cfu/100ml of intestinal enterococci. The action limit for E.coli is 1000 mpn/100ml and for intestinal enterococci 400 cfu/100ml.

South Häme Environmental Health continues to investigate the cause of the increased bacterial concentration in the bathing water.
