There is plenty to do in Riihimäki during the school winter vacation week from 19 to 25. February. Youth and sports services, a library and museums offer fun activities for ski vacationers. During the holiday week, a Children's Cultural Saturday is organized at the Finnish Glass Museum.

Youth services organizes the whole family crafting and handicraft event Taidetehtaan and the Yö-Monari event at Monari.

Sports services organizes two relaxation exercises, a traditional-style ski school for adults and families, and the ice rink has added public skating sessions for the winter holiday week.

Riihimäki glass museum

During the week of the winter holidays, the museum's self-made activity spots test how uranium glass glows in the dark with UV light, guess what scents are hidden in glass jars, solve the riddle of mirror writing and try different glass surfaces.

On the children's culture Saturday, February 24, Satutäd's suitcase theater performance The story of the glass shoe entertains younger museum visitors at 11 a.m. and 13 p.m. The duration of the performance is approximately 20 minutes. Riemu Museum Center (Riihimäki Art Museum and City Museum)

The museum center has self-made crafts and drawing tasks for children throughout the winter holiday week.

The school children's winter vacation week culminates in the Riemu afternoon for children at Museum Center Riemu on Sunday, February 25 at 14 p.m., when Pelle Positiivi, who is also known from television, will perform in the museum center.
