In participatory budgeting, the citizens decide how the city's public funds are used. For the year 2024, 100 euros have been reserved for the implementation of the targets decided by the townspeople. One of the ideas chosen for implementation this year was supporting mental well-being.

Mental health services for the people of Riihimäke are offered by the Kanta-Häme welfare area OmaHäme. The city is responsible for preventive and well-being supporting activities. The purpose of implementing participative budgeting for mental well-being is to give city dwellers snacks and information about what can be done to support their own well-being or that of a loved one.

In the spring of 2024, a Mental Health First Aid 1 training open to all city residents was organized in cooperation with FinFami Kanta-Häme. In addition, Tarinateatteri Täysa realized an open performance aimed at young people, the theme of which was the future and the questions of youth.

During the fall, there will be lectures, events and opportunities related to well-being open to everyone and free of charge.
