Savottapuisto construction works will start this week

The construction work of Savottapuisto, located in the Parooninmäki district, will begin the week of October 28, 2024, with the establishment of a construction site. The park is scheduled to be completed in its entirety in the summer of 2025.

Will be developed into a local sports venue

After the removal of the community sports center connected to Savottapuisto, Savottapuisto, located along Mottitie, wants to be developed into a new community sports center. In the resident survey carried out in the fall of 2023, there was a particular hope for a game arena, which will be built instead of the empty playing field at the goal shown in the picture.

New play equipment for children

In addition, a combination stand will be installed in the park, which meets the residents' wishes for rope climbing and sliding. The park's playground equipment will be renewed and forest animals will be used as a theme, and the lighting will also be improved.

Although the park plan was on display as early as the beginning of 2024, construction work has been delayed due to an appeal to the market court. The court decision was issued in September 2024, and the appeal was dismissed. Thus, work can now continue, but most of the work will be moved to 2025.

The park will not be closed completely during the construction work, but the work may cause temporary arrangements.

A state grant of 45 euros has been received from the Regional Administrative Agency for the construction, which is about 000 percent of the total costs.
