Riihimäki Pride, which celebrates equality, will be celebrated this year with a park party on Friday, June 13. The main Pride party will be held in a picnic style at Antoni's house and Rautatienpuisto starting at 18 pm. The event will bring the Red Street Lamp band to the stage, among others. The evening's headliner will be Petra, also known from the band Tiktak. The Pride party will be hosted by the bubbly Nina Kingelin, who is herself known from the theater stage.

This year, the parade will be led by a Pride truck, which will be boarded by the 17.30 most enthusiastic partygoers from in front of Riihimäki Theatre starting at XNUMX:XNUMX PM.

The procession will take the route Riihimäki Theatre, Hämeenaukio – Hämeenkatu – Keskuskatu – Pohjoinen Asemakatu – Antoni's House, Öllerinkatu (end point).

Welcome to the Pride outings and celebrations

You can also enjoy the Pride atmosphere before and after the main celebration. On Wednesday, June 11, the Riihimäki parish will organize an Evening of Connection at the Central Church from 18 p.m. to 19 p.m., with a program that includes, among other things, singing together, communion and coffee. The official continuation of the Pride celebration will be held on Friday at Ö-talo, where the host of the house, Olli Soini, will organize an all-time rainbow celebration. On Saturday, June 14, at 18 p.m., a free screening of the film Sebastian, written and directed by Mikko Mäkelä, will be organized at Kino Sampo.

"Hopefully the weather will be favorable for the partygoers, and people will come to spend a communal picnic moment in Rautatienpuisto. So bring your lunch and a blanket, because you have been invited," wishes cultural producer Minttu Seppo, inviting the entire city to celebrate a gentle celebration of human rights.
