Riihimäki Pride invites you to a joint park party

Riihimäki Pride will be celebrated on Friday, June 26th with a communal park party. The main Pride party will spread in a picnic spirit to Anton's House and Rautatienpuisto, where there will be music, encounters and togetherness for human rights, equality and diversity.

The party, which will start at 18 pm at Anton's house, will feature bands such as Duo Perhosii and Entiset miehet. The evening's headliners will be the brilliant drag king artists Magnus Love and Dick Weenie. The event will be hosted by Dylan Fineas.

This year, there will also be a Sheep Café respite point, where visitors can meet therapy sheep and stop for a moment to calm down, meet each other, and spend time in a gentle and accepting atmosphere.

The Pride parade introduces a festive atmosphere with samba rhythms

The traditional Pride parade will depart from Riihimäki Theatre on Friday at 5:45 PM and arrive at Antoni's house at 6 PM. This year, the energetic Grupo Luminoso samba group will lead the parade, leading the participants into a festive atmosphere, inspired by samba rhythms.

The route runs from Riihimäki Theatre through Hämeenaukio, along Hämeenkatu, Keskuskatu and Pohjoista Asemakatu to Öllerinkatu and Antoni's House. Everyone is welcome to join us in walking together visibly for equality.

Pride atmosphere from the evening to the afterparty

The Pride celebration starts even before the actual day of the celebration. Pride outings will be held at the library on June 9th at 4:30 PM with karaoke. There will be a relaxed get-together and the opportunity to sing your own favorite songs. The event is open to everyone and free of charge.

Anton's house will also host Pride-themed stone painting workshops open to everyone on Wednesday, June 10th at 5:30 PM and Saturday, June 13th at 11 AM. Two
In one-hour workshops, you can paint, spend time together, and create colors and joy for a shared summer.

On Friday, June 26, the Riihimäki parish will organize a singing event from 16 to 17 p.m. at the Diakoniakeskus (Hämeenkatu 7). The official continuation of the Pride celebration will be held later in the evening at Ö-talo, where the audience will be entertained by legendary drag artist Pola Ivanka starting at 21 p.m.
