The city of Riihimäki buys from the state-owned Senaat Asema-aluete Oy the area on the north side of the Veturitallie area, right next to the track, and two other smaller areas for 600 euros. The Energy Board decided on the matter at its meeting on Wednesday, November 000.

The area planned for purchase includes a block area of ​​commercial and office buildings containing 13 floor square meters. After signing the deed of sale, the lease agreements of the current users will be transferred to the city.

The soil in the area to be purchased is known to be significantly polluted. According to the terms of the deal, soil pollution will be transferred to the city's responsibility with the ownership of the land. The obsolescence of the formula and the deterioration of the land have been taken into account in the purchase price.
