Pekka Karvonen was elected Riihimäki's new CFO

Pekka Karvonen, master of administrative sciences, has been elected as the new financial director of the city of Riihimäki. He currently works as the finance and personnel director of the municipality of Hattula.

25 people applied for the position of financial director of the city of Riihimäki. The search for the CFO started on July 4 and ended on August 11, 2024. The CFO position is subject to a six-month trial period.

Eligibility criteria for the position of financial director were a higher university degree, managerial experience, and practical experience in financial management tasks. The position of CFO is valid until further notice.

The position of CFO became up for grabs when Kari Ora resigned to become Tuusula's CFO.
