The music school is looking for new players, especially for orchestral instruments. The selection of instruments is really wide and you can come and see the instruments at MusaFestarei on Saturday from 10 am to 13 pm. Admission to the event is free and it is part of the Children's Culture Saturdays series of the city of Riihimäki's cultural activities. Come listen to small concerts, meet the people of the music school and try out the instruments at the main building of the music school at Valtakatu 10.
People of all ages can study music, although the majority of students are children and young people. Basic art education studies progress from one level to the next and they include music education in a variety of ways in orchestras and ensembles, music visualization subjects and also playing lessons. Studies proceed according to the curriculum.
The open section of the music college is intended for people who only want to study in private lessons or, for example, try a certain instrument a few times. The students themselves pay for the study of the open department in full, while the municipalities and the state contribute to the costs of basic art education.
