Riihimäki outdoor swimming pool opens on June 3nd

The Riihimäki outdoor swimming pool will open to city residents on Wednesday, June 3rd at 6 am. The swimming pool's last opening day of the spring season was Sunday, May 31st.

The outdoor swimming pool is closed during Midsummer from June 19th to June 21st.

Access from the main doors of the swimming hall

The outdoor swimming pool is accessed and exited through the main doors of the swimming pool. The swimming pool's cash register and café also serve customers during the summer. The café products are expanded for the summer and popular French dishes and other more hearty products are also available.

Access to the gym is via the outdoor swimming pool, as the swimming pool's laundry facilities and pool facilities are closed during the summer. Warranty repairs and additional installations are being carried out in the facilities during the summer.

The sauna, built on the same level as the outdoor swimming pool, is a mixed sauna and guests can use it wearing a swimsuit or towel. During the summer, only outdoor showers are available.

Water trampoline in the diving pool

The Riihimäki outdoor swimming pool is quite versatile in terms of its pools. The outdoor swimming pool has a large eight-lane pool, a diving tower pool and a slide pool, as well as shallow teaching and children's pools. The diving pool has a water trampoline during the summer. The outdoor swimming pool also has a spectator area and a grassy area suitable for sunbathing.

The water temperature in the pools is 25 degrees, the children's pool 26 degrees. The pools in the outdoor swimming pool are covered with pool covers at night, which saves energy and prevents water and heat from evaporating from the pools. The area is guarded at night.

The distance from the railway station to Maauimala is about 1,5 kilometers. The journey takes about 20 minutes on foot or about 10 minutes on a city bike, for example.
