Riihimäki outdoor swimming pool opens on June 2nd

The Riihimäki outdoor swimming pool will open to city residents on Monday, June 2nd at 6 am. The last day of the swimming pool's spring season is Sunday, June 1st.

This summer, we are experimenting with the opening hours of the outdoor swimming pool on the Sunday of the Midsummer weekend. The outdoor swimming pool will be closed on Midsummer Eve and Midsummer Day.

Access from the main doors of the swimming hall

The outdoor swimming pool is accessed and exited through the main doors of the swimming hall. The swimming hall's cash register and café will also serve customers during the summer. The café products will be expanded for the summer and popular French fries dishes and other more nutritious products will also be available.

A new sauna built on the same level as the outdoor swimming pool will be opened for use by the outdoor swimming pool's customers. It is a gender-mixed sauna and sauna use is done with a swimsuit or towel on. The sauna was built in conjunction with the basic renovation of the swimming pool.

The swimming hall's showers, pools and gym are closed during the summer. The facilities are undergoing warranty repairs and additional installations.

Various pools

The Riihimäki outdoor swimming pool is quite versatile in terms of its pools. The outdoor swimming pool has a large eight-lane pool, a diving tower pool and a slide pool, as well as shallow teaching and children's pools. The outdoor swimming pool also has a grandstand and a grassy area suitable for sunbathing.

The water temperature in the pools is 25 degrees, the children's pool 26 degrees. The pools in the outdoor swimming pool are covered with pool covers at night, which saves energy and prevents water and heat from evaporating from the pools. The area is guarded at night.

More than 30 customers visit the outdoor swimming pool every year.
