Riihimäki's ski trail and ice conditions are now visible in the map service

Maintenance information for the city's ski trails and ice rinks is now available on the city's map service at https://kartta.riihimaki.fi.

On the home page, by selecting "Select information shown on the map" from the map menu, you will see maintenance information for the trails and ice fields.

The background color of the tracks and fields on the map changes depending on how long it has been since the maintenance. The service also shows the last maintenance time.

The information is automatically updated once an hour and with a small delay, so that the machines can work in peace until their jobs are completed.

The main trails in service at this stage are the illuminated Riutta, Vahteristo and Varuskunta trails.

The city's map service also shows a lot of other useful information for city residents, such as playgrounds, trails and outdoor fitness equipment.

The sports center is happy to receive feedback on the functionality of the service and development needs.
