Riihimäki's children's parliament meets on Wednesday, March 6, from 9 a.m. The members of the Children's Parliament perform tasks at the youth center Monar with functional racquets, the topics of which this time are, among other things, a safe trip to school and the children's experiences of Riihimäki's child-friendliness and its development.

The Children's Parliament has a total of 28 members, four students from each elementary school in Riihimäki. Members are elected annually from the schools. The Children's Parliament meets 2–3 times during the school year.

The goal of the Children's Parliament's activities is to increase the participation and influence of Riihimäkeli children in matters concerning children. The Children's Parliament is part of Riihimäki's Child-Friendly Municipality.
