Riihimäki circular economy week offers a lot of information and fun activities

Riihimäki's circular economy week will be celebrated for the third time on April 15-21.4.2024, XNUMX.

During the event week, different aspects of the circular economy, such as borrowing, recycling and reducing, will be highlighted. In addition to this, the week will increase awareness of the circular economy, its various aspects and the circular economy operators located in Riihimäki.

During the week, schools reflect and evaluate how well the circular economy is realized in their own school's everyday life. Visitors to Riksula will be exposed to various aspects of the circular economy, from lending through repair to waste recycling, with the help of versatile theme software. The possibilities of the circular economy are also presented in the library and recycling center through borrowing, tuning and recycled products," says environmental expert Jenni Takala.

Leave your request for tools at the library

In the Riihimäki city library (Kauppakatu 16) you can leave your wish for participatory budgeting in tools purchased with 1000 euros. Tools can be borrowed later with a library card, once the tools have been acquired. You can also buy library clearance books cheaply. The library has a permanent book exchange shelf where you can bring or take reading home.

Riksula has a circular economy program on several days. On Monday, April 15, from 12 to 14 p.m., we will get to know the loan companies and the items to borrow.
