Rixublock brings a festival atmosphere to the market square in July
The most spectacular event for young people this summer is the age-free Rixublock concert, which will be held at Riihimäki Market Square on Thursday, July 9, 2026. Finnish pop stars Hugo and Olga will take to the stage. The festival atmosphere will be complemented by local youth bands Juntit, Thyte and The Troublemakers.
The day starts at the market square with a free Rixublock Junior event for the whole family, featuring a children's concert by the cheerful band Mutaveijarit.
Music in the blocks and parks
Free block gigs will return to enliven parks and yards on Thursdays, starting on June 25th and ending on August 13th. The venues will include Bad Segeberg Park, the Finnish Glass Museum yard, Uramo School, and the Kaunolanraitti yard. In case of rain, the gigs will move indoors to Antoni's house.
Adventures for the whole family and comedy for adults at the summer theater

The summer theatre programme will be completed at the turn of July and August, when the Riihimäki Theatre's karaoke show
Hot Waves will be seen from July 31 to August 8, 2026. The show is about two women who do not know each other and who meet at a karaoke bar and spend an evening together, tinged with songs.
