The city of Riihimäki waives the recommendation to use a mask - other services will also return to normal

The services of the city of Riihimäki will return to normal after the corona pandemic during October. However, private activity organizers operating in the city area may have their own corona restrictions or recommendations, which city residents should follow.

Riihimäki city services will adopt the mask recommendation given by the Institute of Health and Welfare (THL) on September 30.9.2021, XNUMX.

THL's mask recommendation is no longer based on the different stages of the corona pandemic, but mainly on people's own situational considerations.

At the same time, starting on October 1.10.2021, XNUMX, the city will waive the recommendation to use masks, excluding public transport, and public indoor spaces where there are many people close to each other, as well as some of the city's social services for the elderly and disabled. With the abandonment of the recommendation for use, elementary school students and high school students no longer have to wear face masks, but masks are available at schools for voluntary use.

Employees of the city of Riihimäki will follow the national remote work recommendation until October 15.10.2021, XNUMX, after which the remote work recommendation related to the corona pandemic will end in the city. After this, the city's workplaces follow the units' own remote work practices based on the city's remote work guidelines.

Riihimäki city's emergency situation management group thanks all the townspeople for Riihimäki's good corona situation. The people of Riihimäki have followed the instructions, recommendations and restrictions well and have been careful, patient and understanding about them.
