The mapping of vitality cooperation began in autumn 2024, when the regional management group, consisting of the leaders of the city of Riihimäki and the municipalities of Loppi and Hausjärvi, as well as the chairmen of the municipal boards and councils, decided to commission a preliminary study on intensifying cooperation. Later, the municipality of Janakkala was also invited to join the work. The study, carried out by MDI, a consulting firm specializing in regional development, was completed in late 2024.
