The Riihimäki City Council for People with Disabilities has selected the public transport of the city of Riihimäki, and in particular its low-floor buses and R-bus, as the recipient of the 2024 Accessibility Certificate of Honour. In its selection, the Disability Council emphasized the possibility of equal participation and taking into account the diversity of people.

The certificate of honor will be presented to the awardees at the next meeting of the Disability Council.
The tradition of the Certificate of Honor began in 2020, when the Certificate of Honor was awarded to the senior park activities of the City of Riihimäki.
