The population of the town of Riihimäki grew significantly in February, by 59 people during the month. The increase was due to migration between municipalities (37 persons) and immigration (22 persons).

"I am proud that the immigrants see Riihimäki as an attractive city. We are doing determined work in the reintegration of Ukrainians who fled the war. "Strategic development and thereby positive actions encourage us to move," says city manager Jouni Eho.

In its strategy, the city of Riihimäki aims for an annual population growth of 0,2 percent. For last year, the city exceeded this challenging goal.

The population growth in Kanta-Häme as a whole last year was 0,0 percent.
