Riihimäki will celebrate the Night of the Arts on September 5, 2025, for the tenth time.

Riihimäki will come alive again when the entire city celebrates the Night of the Arts on Friday, September 5, 2025. The Night of the Arts, which spreads throughout the city, is an event whose program is made together with the city's residents.

This year, there will be a wide range of programs. Whether you are a fan of performances, enjoy shopping, or just want to enjoy the joy of being together, this event is just for you.

On the Night of the Arts, admission to the Riemu Museums, the Finnish Glass Museum and the Finnish Hunting Museum is free, as is most of the performances in the program.

The Night of the Arts event is being held for the 10th time

The Night of the Arts event has a long tradition in Riihimäki, as it is being organised for the 10th time this year. The city-wide programme is put together by the cultural and event services of the city of Riihimäki. The programme is available on the city’s website. “This year there will be a lot of diverse programs in different parts of the city. The event will spread all the way to Herajoki. Every city resident, from baby to grandfather, will surely find a program they like,” says cultural producer Anita Aronen.

“There is a lot going on in the city centre and the old glass factory area. You might not have time to see everything in one evening, but the non-stop Night of the Arts bus will help you with this. You can hop on board from anywhere along the route and it's free,” says cultural producer Minttu Seppo.

The Night of the Arts bus transports the public non-stop

From the city center, you can easily reach the Glass Factory area by taking the Night of Arts bus, which runs non-stop between Granitin aukio (Granit Square) and the Finnish Glass Museum from 17.00 to 20.30 p.m. You can board the Night of Arts bus for free at any stop along the route.

Corrected on August 21, 2025: bus lines 1 and 2 will not operate later than usual on the evening of the Night of the Arts. The lines will operate on normal schedules and routes on the Night of the Arts.
