Changes to heavy traffic routes until August 1st

There are changes to the heavy traffic routes due to the closures of Arolammintie and Pohjoisen and Eteläinen Asemakatu. The road closures are due to street construction work. Riihimäki Construction Services asks companies to take the changed traffic arrangements into account in their route planning and logistics.

Arolamminti road closure

Arolammintie will be closed to traffic between Kulmalan puistokatu and Teollisuuskatu starting on June 24. The closure will end on August 1, 2025. A detour to main road 54 will run via Teollisuuskatu, Etelään Viertotie and Kirjauksentie.

North and South Station Street Closure

Pohjoinen Asemakatu and Eteläinen Asemakatu will be closed to vehicle traffic in phases between Keskuskatu and Paloheimonkatu from July 3 to August 1, 2025. The detour between main road 54 and Arolammintie will run via Kirjauksentie, Etelälän Viertotie and Teollisuuskatu.

The heavy traffic through-traffic connection is closed on Pohjoissä Asemakatu between Keskuskatu and Paloheimonkatu. The new route to main road 54 goes from Arolammintie via Kulmala Puistokatu/Teollisuuskatu, Etelään Viertotie and Kirjauksentie. The heavy traffic detour route is illustrated in the map below.
