Rakas Riihimäki photo competition is looking for atmospheric photos of the city

The City of Riihimäki is organizing a photo competition for all residents of Riihimäki and those interested in Riihimäki. The purpose of the competition is to inspire participants to observe their surroundings and notice the many ways Riihimäki is beautiful and meaningful.

Rakas Riihimäki photo competition is looking for photos that highlight the best aspects of the city:

"When choosing a photo subject, you can think about what kind of photo best expresses Riihimäki. What kind of moment, landscape, or place fills you with pride or joy, or when does Riihimäki feel most like home to you," suggests Mia Miettinen, Communications and Marketing Manager.

Riihimäki must be clearly identifiable in the photo

The competition is looking for photos taken in public places, where Riihimäki is clearly recognizable. It is good to pay attention to the atmosphere and camera angle of the photos. You might find inspiration in the city’s landmarks, history, events, or street art.

You can also draw inspiration from Riihimäki’s brand elements, such as the R-symbol and brand colors. however, their use is not required. The city's brand guide and visual identity may also offer creative ideas.

The winners will receive theater tickets and Riihimäki products

The photo competition starts on June 18 and ends on August 10. Each participant may submit one photo, which must be taken by the participant themselves. The photo can be taken with a mobile phone or a system camera, in landscape or portrait format. The photo must be high-resolution and in JPG, JPEG, or PNG format.

At the end of August, the City of Riihimäki's communications and marketing team will select three winning photos. Each winner will receive two tickets to the comedy musical Opehuone at Riihimäki Theatre and Riihimäki products.
