R-ski day on Saturday, February 3 - come along

The sports center of Riihimäki together with Riihimätu, Riihimäki Kiista-Veikko, Riihimäki Kisko and Riihimäki Suunnistaije organizes the R-ski day on Saturday 3.2 February. from 10 a.m. to 15 p.m.

You can participate in R-skiing by skiing in Vahteristo and Suonummi, Varuskunnta ladu and Hatlamminsuo or Riuta according to your own preferences or even on every slope.

The sports center and associations maintain the tracks in excellent condition for the day of the event. Vahteriston, Varuskunna and Riuta Latukafila serve free hot juice during the theme day. It is also possible to buy sausage, donuts and other products from the street cafés to support the activities of the clubs.

Participants are expected to share photos from the track with the hashtag #RHiihto on social media.

The event has a weather reservation and its realization requires sufficient snow cover so that the slopes can be renovated. The reserve date for the event is Saturday 24.2. from 10 a.m. to 15 p.m.

Suonummi lodge

Suonummi's 10-kilometer ski track (traditional and free style) starts from Suonummi lodge, from where you can also switch to Vahteristo's two-kilometer track (traditional and free style).

Kiista-Veikot maintains a street café at Suonummi's lodge, where in addition to hot juice, coffee, doughnuts, sweets and other refreshments are available for a small fee. The payment method is Mobile Pay.

Vahteristo Park

There is a two-kilometer run (traditional and freestyle) in Vahteristo, from which it is also possible to switch to Suonummi's 10-kilometer run.

Riihilatu maintains a street cafe in front of the container next to Uhkola's grill kiosk. Juice, coffee, sausage and other delicacies are available in the street cafe. In addition, Riihilatu's equipment is on display for you to familiarize yourself with, such as snowshoes and sliding snowshoes. The payment method is Mobile Pay.

Riihilatu organizes a guided ski tour of about 20 kilometers in the direction of Hyvinkää for active enthusiasts in a traditional style. The ski trip takes place in the so-called At the intersection of four paths and we will come back through the Suonummi hut. The duration of the trip is about 2,5 hours. Varuskunta and Hatlamminsuo

The Varuskunta fitness track is 5,2 kilometers long, and you can ski in traditional or free style. The Varuskunta track has a connection to Hatlamminsuo's 2 kilometer track (traditional style). At Hatlamminsuo you will feel like you are in Lapland!

Riihimäki Kisko maintains Tapiola's hut on the edge of Hatlamminsu, where in addition to hot juice, coffee and buns are available for a small fee. The payment method is cash.

Riutta
