About 20 butterfly species have been observed in the butterfly park.
The butterfly park is a place where you can observe Finnish butterflies and moths in a meadow-like landscape. To the park, there has been planted a variety of plants for butterflies to eat and colorful flowers, which has improved the butterflies' living conditions.
Around 20 common butterfly species have been observed in the park. In late summer, it is possible to see the most spectacular butterflies, such as the damselfly, thistle and admiral butterflies.
Due to the cold and rainy spring, the butterfly summer has been low this year. So, in late summer, butterflies are busy flying and preparing new generations for next summer.
A respected and award-winning park
The Butterfly Park has been awarded the Green Flag Award, which is given to well-maintained and managed green areas.
The park area has information signs about butterflies and a butterfly poetry trail. In addition, the theme park has a butterfly-themed playground, exercise equipment, a balance track, a hammock and a picnic table.
