There will be a colorful program at Easter

Riihimäki Easter is a traditional spring town event that offers experiences and joyful activities for the whole family. A colorful program is available throughout Easter from 28.3 to 1.4.2024. This year, pre-Easter events will be organized as early as 23.-27.3. Events organized in advance are, for example, a craft supplies flea market, a concert and a lecture on the history of Easter cards.

The busiest event day is Saturday

The busiest event day of Easter is yarn Saturday, March 30.3, when there are many Easter-themed programs in the city.

"At that time, families with children in particular should head to the Rautatiepuisto in Öllerinkatu 3's courtyard area. The main performers on the program stage are the energetic Mimi and Kuku, with whom you can play and sing at 11 o'clock and 13 p.m.," says the responsible culture producer Lyti Aaltonen.

Skilled dancers from Tanssistudio Dance Art and Studio Dance & Joy will also perform on the stage, and we will see bits and pieces from Riihimäki summer theater's Heinähattu, Vilttitsusu ja Pamela-täti play.

Mämmi's tasting and treasure hunt

There are also a lot of fun things to do in the courtyard of Öllerinkatu 3, such as mammi tasting, an Easter treasure hunt, Easter crafts and face painting. There will be a surprise for those dressed in an Easter theme, and bags of sunflower seeds will be distributed to make the whole of Riihimäki bloom. Weather permitting, there will also be adorable farm animals to pet.

"This year, Easter is already celebrated in March, and that brings its own challenges to the outdoor event. Let's hope that the weather will be in our favor and, for example, the traditional Pets will be able to come along," Lyti Aaltonen reflects.
