The collection of residents' ideas for spending 100 euros will start on Monday, September 000, 20.9.2021. In addition, when making a proposal, it is good to remember that it requires 10 endorsements to advance to the implementation evaluation stage, so you should not leave making a proposal until the very last minute.

Proposals can be made and examined on the participation platform at: osallistu.riihimaki.fi. You can view the proposals in the online service without logging in, but making, supporting and commenting on them requires logging in. Instructions for registering and using the service can be found on the website. The library staff provides guidance on using the online service.

The first time, the townspeople came up with several ideas related to exercise, culture and the environment. In the second season, the proposals followed the same line, but Korona has slowed down the implementation a bit. I hope the spectrum of ideas will be plentiful this year as well.

After the proposals are completed, city employees evaluate them, make implementation plans out of them, and calculate a cost estimate for them. All proposals advancing to the vote must comply with Riihimäki's principles of participatory budgeting.

Voting and implementation of plans

The proposal phase ends on October 24.10.2021, 10.1.2022, and the voting on the plans begins on January XNUMX, XNUMX.

All residents of Riihimäki who are 12 years old or older in the voting year can vote in participatory budgeting. Everyone's vote matters and the city promises to implement the proposals decided in the vote. The implementation of the plans will start immediately after the voting result is confirmed in February 2022.
